How is an Ultra Marathon different from other Marathons?
In 1921, the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) standardized marathon races at
a length of 42.195 kilometers (26.2 miles). This means, a full marathon is 42.195 kms; and a half
marathon is 21.09 kms.
An ULTRA Marathon, however, is more than a Full Marathon and is usually 50km, 100km, 161km, 338km,
480km long. This Ultra Marathon will be a city-wide run.
What's the cause behind this Ultra Marathon?
This city-wide run will be for our farmers, staff and Nashikites. blueBrigade Running Club was born
purely from the passion of running, for no commercial interests, with the sole aim to share the joy
and bring more people to a healthy way of life.
Who can participate?
This event is open to all - people from all the places and of any age are welcome to participate.
When is the Ultra Marathon taking place?
The Ultra Marathon will be held on 4th, 5th and 6th February 2022, i.e., for three days. The event
will start at 6am and finish by 12noon. This will be 5km, 10km and 21km.
