Certifications for food quality and safety

The proof of our food quality is demonstrated through various certifications we have received from authorities in India and all over the world. These certifications are awarded based on the results of rigorous tests, inspections and audits. Our products are subject to stringent tests of quality and safety and are recognized as safe foods that come straight from the farm to your plate.

FSSAI

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India

Sahyadri Farms adheres to the regulations and standards set by FSSAI by ensuring food safety at our farms. Food Safety Standard Authority of India is responsible for protecting and promoting public health through these regulation and supervision of food safety.

APEDA

Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority

We adhere to standards set for all pack houses handling and processing horticulture produce viz fresh fruits, vegetables etc., for export. We as exporters meet the international standards in-terms of quality of produce with quarantine safety.

FSSC 2000

Foundation Food Safety System

The FSSC 22000 certificate proves that the organizations food safety management system is in compliance with the Scheme requirements.

BRC

British Retail Consortium

Recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), BRC Global Standards specify requirements for organizations. This standard specifies that Sahyadri Farms adhere to food safety, quality and operational criteria required within a food manufacturing organization. Our products are safe, legal and of high quality.

LQRA

Lloyd's Quality Registration Assurance

LQRA is an international standard that specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS). It provides a framework that an organization can follow, rather than establishing environmental performance requirements

Global G.A.P

Global Good Agricultural Practices

Through this certification, we demonstrate our adherence to GLOBAL G.A.P. standards that are guidelines developed by the food industry, producers' organizations, governments and NGOs, aiming to codify agricultural practices at farm level for a range of commodities.

Rainforest Alliance

Sahyadri Farms is Rainforest Alliance certified which indicates that our farms have been audited to verify that farmers are complying with the standards that require environmental, social, and economic sustainability. We are built on principles of sustainable farming, namely-Biodiversity conservation, improved livelihoods and human well-being, Natural resource conservation, Effective planning and farm management systems.

Fair Trade

Fair trade is all about better prices, good working conditions, and sustainability for farmers and workers at Sahyadri Farms. We have established a fair trade platform where Agro Input companies can directly meet farmers for trade - a revolution in the interest of farmers. With no middlemen involved, farmers get the products of the right quality at a fair price.

Tesco

Sahyadri Farms obeys the Tesco Nurture 10 (TN10) certification scheme for producers supplying Tesco UK with fresh fruits and fresh vegetables by obeying the following points:

Use of proper pesticides
Use of fertilizers
Prevention of harmful effects on the environment
Protection of health
Efficient use of energy, water, and other natural resources
Recycling of materials
Conservation of the natural environment at the production site

FDA

Food and Drug Administration

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA or USFDA) is a federal agency of the United States Department of Health and Human Services responsible for protecting and promoting public health through the control and supervision of food safety. This certificate is an assurance by FDA containing information about our product's regulatory or marketing status.

Halal

A Halal certified product means that the product is permissible or acceptable in accordance with Islamic law. Therefore, it is used for food and other consumables permissible for consumption. Our products are Halal certified.

Export Inspection Council

Our plant is EIA approved. Controlled by Export Inspection Council (EIC), Export Inspection Agency issues a certificate of inspection, certifying that the shipment has been inspected as per requirements of the Export or Quality Control and Inspection Act.

Kosher

Orthodox Union Kosher

Our products are Kosher certified. This is a Hebrew word that means fit, proper or correct and is mostly used to describe food and drink that complies with Jewish religious dietary law. For a product to be kosher certified, each ingredient, food additive and processing aid used in its production must be kosher. Additionally, it must be approved by a kosher auditor.
